    Hi all,
Not I wind up I promise, but given todays news re administration and the inevitable fact you as fans will now have to suffer all the rumour mills and wind up merchants making all sorts of claims about who will buy Pompey. Plus the recent track record re dodgy owners, I was wondering how many of you at this point would be happy to see Pompey fold with the condition it was ressurected as a fans owned club. Admittedly you'd have to start pretty lowly but surely this would be better than all the heartache you've had to suffer and no doubt will continue to suffer for a while at least.

As I said, this is not a wind up, just a genuine enquiry as to how you all feel?

I don't necessarily believe it has to be like Ebbsfleet FC - there are income streams in place. What it needs is to be run properly and the profits kept within the club. Transparency would also help.

At the present moment in time, I am dumbfounded that we got administration AGAIN.

I was all for Plan B. A supporter owned club, with the history and name of Portsmouth FC, starting in the conference and workigng our way back up again. I know I would feel a lot better about paying x amount of £ to go see a plan b club then i currently do paying to see us a FP.

This is only the tip of the iceberg - things are going to get a hell of a lot worse before they get better. Administration is not the answer to pompeys problems!

I will be blue forever - but while my club is being run into the ground I am starting to lose hope of every being proud of my club again.

Its a sad day in the Mike household!

    Mike,
I don't see as fans you have any reason not to still feel proud, you have had no control over what has happened so can't be held responsible; no doubt you all enjoyed the high times when big money signings were coming in and you were successful on the pitch, who wouldn't enjoy that and to a degree in hindsight this overspending was the catalyst for the current plight. But again I have to stress not the fault of the fans, who ulitimately feel the most pain in situations like this.

I understand what you are saying saintdylan - but knowing that me paying £30 a week to go see my beloved team is only lining the pockets of the parasites that have beld the club dry is a bitter pill to swallow.

Unfortunately for us, we were the first club to experience the over spending in football demise. This is not a problem with PFC, but with football as a whole. Imagine if Abramovich or the Sheikh and Man City just upped and left - you would see exactly the same problem there - spending above their means because their owner has a few bob.

What makes me even more sick about of this, and it was mentioned by RLGB I believe on another thread - that the whole Tevez situation has cost him £9.3m.........that kind of money would have sorted PFC out for the next 2 years. Sickening.

I personally feel "naffed off" with all the goings on at Fratton Park, with our previous array of owners, etc., who have in all intents and purposes, bled this club dry, ruined it's reputation, and tarnished what good memories of the club I once had.

As Henry V once said (with a bit of help from Willie Shakespeare)...................'Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more'.

I think he was talking about Pompey :emoticon-0106-cryin

This is pretty good actually! I love animation and this style is unusual, to say the least.

I think personally this is a real last chance life line and if it wasn't for the change of administrator i don't think i could see a way out of it. having heard the quotes from the administrator today stating that first we need a squad that can compete my optimism almost came back, then i remembered i was a Portsmouth fan and that particular emotion is no more.
I just hope the original cva is still upheld and no one looses out any more than they already have. We as a club have gone from being one of the countries "second teams" if you like, (liked by almost every one with a fe obvious exceptions and supported as an underdog) to being hated by most of the country. The press with their half assed stories and bringing up debts that are not even due yet as unpaid only adds to this. It is getting to the point were not many people like our once proud club and its frustrating in a way that the abuse comes from people that don't know the ins and outs and the small details like the charities being paid by the fans go unnoticed.
At the end of the day the game as a business is a complete and utter joke. How the hell can we owe csi money? surely an investment into your own business should be exactly that? not a loan to add to the debt books that needs repaying. Would you not think it should be a case of invest to improve your business then reap the rewards later when you have made an impact? Really does baffle me.
As it stands i find it hard to see Portsmouth fc gaining any respect or integrity without plan b coming into effect, don't get me wrong ill still be down the park every game and blindly following them around the country either way. i just hope for once they can actually think about the owner they are appointing and make sure he's not yet another friend of a crook that sees our ground our club and our history as nothing more then a plot to stick some tacky overpriced apartment blocks on.

PLAY UP POMPEY WE WILL NEVER DIE.
