No surprise and time to move on to other targets. I for one would not berate him if he returns to play at the Liberty in opposition colours, he did us proud on his short spell here.
I think he has shot himself in the foot here if it does fall through as I highly doubt the Liverpool board with give the £10million+ need to get him from Hoffenheim (cant see them letting him go to Liverpool for the same price as we negotiated!) and I dont think they would go for him when he would have to replacing one of Gerrard, Suarez, Carroll or Henderson to get any regular games (The first two as they are better than Siggy and the other two because they sanctioned £20 and £35 million to get them!!) Then again I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time, wont be the last lol
