Do you think he will be a Sunderland player in 27 hours time? I don't I have Malaga are in for him and we may need the cash to buy two strikers.

BB will know about this, but malaga have cash now so they are capable of buying him.

If he goes and we get 2 decent strikers in, I wont loose any sleep over it, if he goes and we get 1 and its samaras, i will have nightmares for weeks.

I like Gyan and don't think we should sell him unless an offer of 16m+ comes in. If it does and he does go we need 2 strikers and 2 good ones at that. Do we have the time left to do this? I aint so sure.

    Do I like Gyan? Yes

Do I think he is a good player? Absolutely top class.

Do I want him to stay? Yes

Is it possible he could leave? Sadly yes.

Do I think he will? Very probably.

As a makeshift or revenue raiser I think Gyan may be used to recruit 1 or 2 replacements IE Crouch and this lad Helmes or Cisse in and Gyan out to pay a big portion of their fees.

The rumours of his agent touting him around in the summer didn't go away really and his body language isn't the best so far. He doesn't look interested and therefore if the right deal came along that was good for the club, then I say do the deal.

If Gyan goes which im not too fussed the way his body language is at the moment. Crouch at £10m sounds like a panic buy if its Crouch and Defoe then ok
There is also a lot of talk on Helmes although i don't know anything about him he sound as though he is worth a gamble
I also agree about a lot of comments on Crouchs wages if its more than £60k a week i why did we not buy N'Zog

    Pretty much agree.

He just hasn't looked fully committed, and this has made me feel that until we get to the close of the window he is one who could easily move out.
It is however a difficult call for us, do we judge him on what we know he is capable of at his best, or, what we're likely to get out of him given his apparent current mindset - If the latter is what we'll get for the rest of the season then providing we get good replacement bodies in (has to be two) then with regret I'd let him go.

Was an article in the Daily Fail this morning saying we were due to bid 14 million for him. That's the last I heard of the story.

I would not sell him for less than 25million, he might not be worth it but its a sellers market and we certainly don't need to sell.

If Gyan goes then we must be crazy, how can you build a club when you sell your main striker every window? Kenwyne out, Bent out, Gyan out, I think Jones was happy here, Bent would have been happy had we given him more money, how much more he wanted I don't know, was he worth it probably yes. Now Gyan who I think has proven nothing at his time at Sunderland thus far. Is our supply so poor that the strikers just want away.

Gyan to Spurs with Pav and Krank coming our way
Don't think Crouch will come this far north
Plus 1 more proven striker with proven goal scoring record

As of earlier today, Turkish interest in Gyan way below what #SAFC paid for him and firmly rejected. Whether that's changed or not, dunno.

Gyan grabbed the Wigan game by he scruff of the neck last season and arguably won that game for us and saved us, to question his commitment is ludacris, a few bad games and hes "useless" according to the armchair fans who are never off here and criticise during and immediately after matches, does my head in some of the moronic comments on here.

If we get rid of him and only bring crouch in, I shall go from sitting on the fence to bruce out. If we bring in crouch and someone else of Defoe/PDC/Krancjar calibre I will be very much bruce in. If we stay as we are, I'll stay on my fence but lean very slightly towards BOB.

If we ship out Gyan we need two strikers in. Simple maths. Gyan for Crouch and Krancjar doesn't fit the bill. Crouch and Pavlyuchenko, yes, otherwise keep Gyan and buy at least one striker by this time tomorrow.

I am generally pro-Bruce, but this last-minute brinkmanship and seeming inability to grasp our needs is getting on my tits. He's come out and said that Wong and Whickham are two for the future, so what the **** is he doing with our present?
