thats my point on another thread when we eventualey attract a top player he only stays for a short while untill we gain a place in europe we will not be able to hold onto these players as all top players want to play in europe
Not your best reply on this board, dont think you were thinking, as you were typing, although it has been shouted at me many times, that men cant multitask
If we sell Gyan, I hate to agree but Bruce needs to go. Crouch isn't a scratch on Gyan, and personally I wouldn't even pay 5million for him. Hes old, unreliable and just a bit crap really. Would rather take the risk on NGog, DJ Campbell or even Bothroyd. (alongside Mr Gyan obv) My suggestion is a) Connor Wickham b) NGog or this Korean Lad c) A top world class striker to be the main striker partner of Gyan. Someone like Hulk from Porto (obviously would have to be available) Wagner Love from Russia?!
A lightweight on the piss as well.by the way COMMACIO, watched a good documentry, on, http://documentaryheaven.com/ ****in barmpots
Cyprus but as you have been so quick to point out to me, if the player says he wants to go there is **** all we can do about it is there? You see, this is my point. When you start to send out signals to other clubs that its a come and get them policy at Sunderland, it also has a huge knock on effect to the players we want to sign AND the good ones we currently already have. I'm sure Gyan has been steadily contemplating his future since we flogged Bent and now with one of our young potentially stars being flogged off as well, he may weel be telling his agent get me the **** out of this sinking ship as well. See, far from being a doom-monger or mogadon (I think it was that i was labelled the other night) I am trying to be honest and practical. There has been a huge hornets nest stirred up by the boardroom and manager and I can only pray to god they have a plan B in all of this becasue as the hours roll on, I am getting more and more worried kidda.
What do I keep telling you , when you talk about cars, you interest me, otherwise you dont. but enjoy your week end.
Sometimes I think I work in one, then I come home and switch the computer on,you would think I would should know better at my age.
Plan B has a very goood stage act, unfortunately SAFC cant get its act together, never mind a back up plan, selling bent with no replacement proved that.
What's wrong with my message? The perception of the North down here is that the North is a cold and unsophisticated place...harsh I know, but simply a reality. Not saying that's the main issue though and even if it was short of moving the City can't do much about it.
Put it this way, you can take the man out of Sunderland, but you cant take Sunderland out of the man. Much as you try, is all.
Long may that false perception reign. We dont want all those southern ****ers coming up here and spoiling our paradise in heaven. Let them think we eat our own babies and keep whippets. Dont let the cat out of the bag at all.
Yeh I know mate, I'm not actually from Sunderland myself my grandad was from near there and both me and my dad are now big supporters...even though my grandad is no longer around sadly. To me, living away from the area, Sunderland is sort of seen as an Everton, well respected when asked with some good players...but not talked about that much in general conversation. To be honest though it is only London clubs and ManU who everyone supports down here though. To attract a higher class of players, the image of Sunderland and the North needs an overhaul, no small task though - it is all perception though as it's a lovely part of the world with lovely people.
Read Sunderlands history, the one your granfather did, those were tough times, and the men realy were made of iron, had to be to keep a roof over, be proud of your grandfather. that is realy important, maybe not now, but in future years, it will become so.
