You can tell he's battling to get us over the line. He's got a permanent grimace on his face. I've said this a few times he is a critical cog to our playing style even half fit. It's also why we need another player who can do a similar job even if not as well. Especially with more games next season.
We also need Longy to do his running for him. Fingers crossed he's back for the last couple of games. God I can't believe I've typed that!
I hope we don't regret playing him through this. My dad keeps on saying "he's not fit, he's not fit", and this confirms it.
This is the problem with our current midfield options, Longstaff being out means we have 3 CM's most of whom at this point in the season will be carrying knocks. Bruno has looked well off the pace in the last few games and in need of a rest.
The second pic shows him twisting his foot, painful but not necessarily proof of an injury. The first pic shows him with him with his kid and some speccy guy in questionable shorts and an even more questionable yellow hoodie. Where is the proof he's injured?
I actually didn't, but still can be just from a light sprain or just a precaution. He's hasn't been right at his best form recently, but I haven't seen much to suggest he's playing through injury.
He won't be in agony but I reckon it will twinge the odd time. To be fair, he is playing well considering. Highlights the need to get someone else in capable of filling in for him
Was just about to say this. But Longstaff has been very good for us this season. Quite how he didn’t get a penalty the other day is a joke.
Longy is playing at a very high level imo all he needs to do is bag a few goals and all of a sudden he'll start getting the rep he deserves. On Bruno I think it was in the cup final (?) he went over on his ankle and I definitely thought that's his season done. Looked really bad but somehow he managed to shake it. I've done the ligaments in both ankles myself so proper made me wince
Do you think we should drop Bruno if we confirm top 4 before the season ends? It's dangerous to keep playing him injured.
Sure but I would hate us to cause him a serious injury if we keep playing him after necessity requires it.
Not sure we'll secure top 4 until the end, and even if it secured by the last match, I want us to thump Chelsea and that Lampard prick. Losing to them on the last day would end the season on a downer and give that clown something to be smug about.
