Stumpy we think very much alike on most things, but I'll not defend Huw currently with his tinkering and poor transfers dealings these last few seasons, he has weakened the squad, no doubt about that, and I can understand you may not remember the Sousa issues clearly, but I do, it was common knowledge that Huw was having great difficulty getting on with Sousa, it's why he wouldn't give him support in the January transfer window of his last season with us, Huw pulled the plug on Sousa, and there is no doubt in my mind that the boardroom closed ranks, except for Martin Morgan, who wanted Sousa to stay, it is why Sousa had an outburst at the Bristol game regarding the failure of Huw to bring in the loan Striker and strengthen for a play off push (Of course Huw played it all down to the BBC <laugh>), there were many other under handed issues that Huw got up to, with his lover boy Monk, who said of Sousa: “I’m glad we didn’t get into the play-offs with Paulo, as he did not deserve to be the one to take us to the Premiership. He had not earned that right. I saw Paulo’s time in charge as a wasted season.” What an arrogant nugget Monk turned out to be................<ok>

The point is this who brought in Guideline? how much did it cost us with Monks sacking? these are all Huw's appointments, Jenkins has had a great track record in getting us here, but keeping us here requires great nerve and can he continue to cope with the pressure of that? Huw is off course at the minute, he needs to get back on track ASAP, if we are to survive in the PL

    Also regarding Sousa and Huw:

Trust chairman Phil Sumbler believes there is a deteriorating relationship between Sousa and Jenkins. "If the chairman is asked the question by Leicester, I don't think he will stand in the way of them speaking to the manager," said Sumbler. "I think that would also be an indication of a breakdown in their relationship." In April, Jenkins denied there was a rift with Sousa after the former Portugal international bemoaned a lack of transfer funds. - Phil Sumbler/Swansea Trust

Sumbler said: "As much as I don't want to see him go, Leicester have a good squad of players and Sousa has a good track record at the top end of the Championship. However, teams who miss out in the play-offs sometimes have trouble bouncing back."

Now if you are in any doubt regarding Jenkins attitude to Sousa, just look at his absence from the movie 'Jack to King' that should tell you all you need to know..............<laugh>

Why was Guidolin or his assistant not at the press conference today. It's not normal for the club captain to do the pre match interview on his own.

Radcliff is undermining our manager with his big mouth in the media, the issues on the pitch are no different to when under Monk, Laudrup, Sousa etc........<ok>

Ki and Taylor are undermining Guido on the pitch. That never happened with Monk, Sous and Laudrup.
Ex Cardiff or not, he's correct in what he says.

Another chapter unfolding here with the Jacks, wonder where it will lead?............<laugh>....anyway went down to the Liberty earlier on today, to pick up tickets for my two boys for tomorrow nights game, there are not many left!! So much for our poor football putting off the Jack army, well done for the support though, as that is what is needed right now, I shall watch it in sunny Crete, with Pete.............<cheers>

That's because Franco is too nice a guy (Exactly what Huw likes) but not good for petulant ponces on the pitch...........<ok>

Swansea City Football Club....The " Great Expectations " Capital of the Premier" .....Ki and Taylor can say what they want against Guidolin, Why ?...Because they see the "Mutiny" the so called knee jerk fans are on and it induces they're behavior. New strikers , Williams gone , the worst starting schedule in the league . I will always be a huge SCFC fan , I never was a big fan of the SCFC fan base .I've endured all the belly aching these past 5 seasons even as we spent no money and averaged 10th place , but now at the first sign of blood, the base goes further on the war path . I hope Guidolin quits , even before he's had a chance to right the ship on a very difficult task that Jenkins has manufactured .

Leon Britton: Swansea squad still 'respect' Francesco Guideline

Leon Britton says Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin has the "respect of all players in the squad" going into Wednesday's EFL Cup clash against unbeaten Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Swansea's last two league games -- a 2-2 draw with Chelsea and 1-0 defeat at Southampton -- featured Neil Taylor and Ki Sung-Yeung displaying visible disapproval of being substituted by Guidolin, but club captain Britton, who has made more than 400 Swansea appearances, insisted the players remain behind the manager. "The manager has got respect of all players in the squad," he said. "There has been no-one disrespecting him in training or behind closed doors. He's had a career where he has managed in Italy in the top flight for so long. He might not be a big name, but you have to respect the manager and staff.

"There are no issues, I know people on the outside like to make stories, but in the changing room and on the pitch there are no issues. Nothing has changed. The training is the same as when we were beating Liverpool last year. Things are normal. The performance wasn't great against Southampton, but there is a lot of football to be played. "On Sunday, everyone was frustrated with the way we played, and I think Ki will be disappointed. We are professional, we have to respect the manager and respect the group of players we've got. If there is a problem, like always in football, you deal with it in the changing room.

"As much as there is emotion and frustration running high when you are not performing well and you get brought off, at the same time, you have to remember we are professionals and we have to respect everyone involved in the football club. "They know that, and I hope that's the last we see of that. It is down to the manager to deal with it internally when he feels there might be an issue, but as players, we have to respect the whole group.

"It's an emotional game. We've seen it over the years when players react when they come off and they feel maybe they shouldn't have come off, but I think when things calm down they realise it is probably the wrong thing to do, and those boys will know that."

In contrast to Swansea's current form, Manchester City will arrive at the Liberty Stadium on the back of five successive league victories under Pep Guardiola. The clubs meet again in the league next Saturday, and Britton accepts the Southampton performance fell way short of Swansea's standards as they prepare to face the league title favourites.

"We have to be honest and say the level was well below what we should be performing at, as a team and individuals," he added. "We showed great character against Chelsea, but if you play against any team as we did on Sunday, you would struggle. "There weren't many positives on or off the ball, and there is room for improvements all over. We like to dominate possession and press and get back to what has served us so well, because we didn't do well at all on Sunday.

"We had a tricky period [last year] which unfortunately ended with Garry Monk losing his job, but we said go back to basics, work hard and pass the ball. We have to learn from the mistakes of last year. "We are only five games in, but it's such a tough league we don't want to be 10-15 games in, because the pressure mounts, the crowd get edgy, there is a media spotlight and you don't enjoy it. So we need to nip it in the bud and rectify mistakes." - ESPN

Phil to be fair he isn't going to say anything else is he. I cant imagine anyone of them are enjoying the situation they are in now and you can see that they certainly aren't enjoying their football. When we play with a smile on our faces we play well.

I am not saying it is any different from what he has said, but he wasn't going to come out and say he is ****e and every day we argue in training, even if he thought it.

Fully disagree. Every fan who has criticised Guidolin on here has also said that those pair of muppets should rot in the u23s.

I hope he does too <ok>

Huw has had far to much credit over the years and quite frankly he dont deserve most of it....He has took credit for others working hard behind the scenes and the only time he appears on TV or in the press is when something goes well. You never see him otherwise....He is the one that will take us down without a shadow of a doubt as we have got to the stage now that no good manager will ever work for the club while he is chairman....I have been calling for him to be replaced for years and even i have been conned into thinking he was doing a good job at one point but i was wrong, He is a small time businessman who has made a lot of money and should stand down or better still the yanks will sack him. He has been on the gravy train far too long......We deserve better....

Correct. Also, Trundle told me recently that the players don't read any of the forums because they think they are populated by idiots. <laugh> I await the inevitable jokes. <ok>
