Its St George's Day on Thursday and our works restaurant has a St George's day menu planned for this cultural celebration. I have no idea what it is, but they usually have Haggis, Neeps and Tatties for St Andrew's, Leeks and Welsh tart for St David's, and on St Paddy's they have Irish Stew etc. Any guesses what this traditional English meal will be? Results on Thursday.
Roast Beef and Yorkshire puddings. Tell me more about this Welsh tart, does she ever come down South?
It's bound to be use ingredients that we stole from another country and added our own national twist. I'm going for boiled platypus feet with dumplings.
Defo roast beef and that crap they call yorkshire puddings. Wasn't it the frogs who christened the nigels as "le roast beoufs" (excuse my lack of froggy)
They also called British soldiers "god-damns" out of grudging respect. Whereas the British dubbed the French "crapauds" (toads)
How very dare you. I only dated it once so we confined ourselves to heavy petting and a bit of fingering.
Beef Wellington Lancashire Hotpot Pie and Mash Pork Pie Sandwich all washed down with copious cups of tea. What's for pudding? Spoilt for choice there.
