Just watching our boy wonder in a replay of the earlier game between England and Guinea in the Toulon tournament. He's giving a very decent account of himself, albeit against weak opposition. The tournament is good experience for him though and hopefully we can see a lot more of him on the pitch next season.

there is no point in having an academy if we don't use it ......He is a decent player and is currently England captain so he is getting his just rewards but not by us. I hope guildo recognize he has a talented player on his hands and involve him next season...

If he's as talented as suggested he should have been sent out on loan to the championship at the start of the season as the experience etc will be far greater than playing in the academy.

I'd like to see him start all of the cup games next season and then progress him through to the league squad if he cuts the mustard.

When I see him he looks like he has the talent to make it, just needs that break.

Grimes has Curtis to thank for his Premier League expierence against Palace this season , and a well earned point we got at a very important time .
Guidolin will be smart to lend an ear to Curtis this coming season , which I think he will .

Boy wonder? Is he that good Kwame B? Not seen him play, so bit in the dark with Grimes, and I can't remember him in the Palace game this season either......<ok>

Hes looked great in the Toulon tournament.......but so has Nathan Redmond! I think he's a genuine prospect though, think we'll see a bit more of him next season, see what he's really made of and if he's able to make the huge step up.

I have always thought he looks good, for get the odd game he had here this season, doesn't help much, He will have gained a lot of experience going out on loan to a championship side, where he played 13 times in a very good league and against good players. Still only 20 and can see him going out on loan again this season at some point. He will IMO be a PL player.

I've always thought he showed a lot of promise, and the Exeter fans were gutted to lose him but acknowledged he was too good for their division. However, didn't have a very ordinary game against Palace? I may be confusing him with someone else, not sure. Sounds like his recent performances show that he deserves his chance.

Grimes has shown his inexperience when playing in our first team. The problem is and he is not the only one this affects is there is no decent reserve competition above under 21 level to develop these players and indeed give the first team squad who do not feature in the first team game time. Without knowing the rules and regs could there be a lower league competition we could enter a team in.

NS that is why he needed to go out to the Championship and get valuable game time, As you say he is well above the 21's but there is nothing or nowhere else for him to play with us at the moment. Maybe a 3 month loan early on to get him playing good standard first team football, week in week out, where every result actually matters will bring him on leaps and bounds, It has to be the right side though.
