    I thought he was going to blossom this year, he seemed to have the ability to create opportunities for goal scorers. This is obviously one of our big failings, what went wrong for him?

    Like always we buy talent from the lower leagues and we rarely give them a chance and they get fed up. Young Grimes and young Donnelly and others didn't get the chances they should be having and they end up leaving.

    It's only a loan deal!! Maybe he needs regular game time and isn't ahead of our current midfielders to get the time he needs to develop. Just look at Tom Carroll loaned to qpr & swansea and now he's flourishing in the Tottenham team this season and is living up to his potential.

    Tbh, if players like Grimes show as much potential as he supposedly does, rather than keep him at the academy I'd rather see him loaned out to a Blackburn. He'll develop far better and quicker playing a much higher level of football.
