It will take that long to properly assess the evidence I guess, and if there are going to be any criminal prosecutions (which their absolutely should be) then it's a process that needs to be watertight. As you know what sharks some lawyers will be to try and get their clients off the hook.

I remember watching it unfold, we were on holiday in Rhodes so were two hours in front and I could not believe what I was seeing

The news people interviewed a Irish guy in a rainbow coloured jumper (cant remember if he was in charge of the Housing Association or the main Contractor) but his one and only comment without a single trace of empathy or grief or concern was We followed all the rules

I said to my wife at the time That **** should be in jail now without any chance of release

Find the culprits, whoever they maybe, even ministers and stick them in prison, completely strip them of all their assets to pay for any buidlings that still need their cladding updated. If we did this it would send a clear message to anyone in the future thinking of taking short cuts.

At the moment all we are getting from news channels and current politicians is the names of companies and governments referred to as state. It's all words of avoidance and those personal names will probably be delayed for another two years until the cops get their act together, so nine years will have passed and still no one held to account.

If you've put parts in that cause it to explode you probably are guilty of murder cos you put a bomb in it.

    There's murder of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree.

1st is premeditated murder, in which it was both intentional and planned.
2nd is intentional but not pre-planned.
3rd is intentional murder but regarded as a "crime of passion" you were under circumstances that perhaps caused distress or mental instability.

4th degree is involuntary manslaughter. This is when your negligence or careless act led to someones death.

The Grenfel tower could easily levy a charge of 4th degree murder aka involuntary manslaughter.

all i can see is 1st and 2nd and manslaughter is a totally separate charge

It wasn't 1st degree by any stretch.

You'd never get that to stick.

You're then suggesting Grenfel tower was built with it's sole purpose being to kill those people.

ah i was referring to your 4 degrees of murder which as far as i can see is incorrect on Grenfell i doubt anyone will be found guilty of a serious charge after all the only "justice" for Hillsborough was the Sheffield Wednesday safety officer getting a couple of hundred quid fine and the tainted blood scandal has led to no sign of anyone from the NHS being held to account etc etc.

They'll be no murder charges ... but there could (and should) be manslaughter ...

No I just saw people chatting incorrectly about what is or isnt legally a murder.

On the actual charges for Grenfel it will be some fines and such for being dodgy traders and that's that.

And also isn't correct. There doesn't have to be an intent to kill to be guilty of murder. You can be found guilty if the CPS prove an intent to cause serious harm.
