I hope you all don't consider me a racist here and I don't know if things have changed since but Asians were encouraged NOT to mix with Europeans at one time by their parents and grandparents etc. This was especially true of Indians and Pakistanis and that area and I wonder if the older generations still have influence over the younger ones and so no Asians apply or few do so none are chosen. Just a thought.
I have very mixed feelings about the possibility of new investment coming from, well, oil-related quarters. On balance, I'd rather it not happen. On the other hand, losing top players because Chelsea won the CL would be intolerable. You could make an argument that what matters isn't where new investment comes from, or how much it amounts to, but why it's made. If it's rich people buying a toy, or wanting to turn a club into an advertising vehicle, that's one thing. If people are investing because they think a club is a good value, and likely to rise in price, that's another. Though of course I don't even know that there is new investment, let alone what motivates it.
Dona, I've done it. right. so you stated earlier that you are of Asian roots? and your son is half German? Remember my post the other day about "german or not german, but something to do with germany and another country" type of players? (Gomez, Khedira, Podoliski, Klose etc etc??). that's it. Your son is going to be the next one! written in the stars mate! Job done. start planning your retirement!
ill just be the agent and make sure he plays for the Mighty Spurs...or hes disowned...but ill take that Roo.
