Let's flip this. If the lad is prepared to sign after his reception last night, then he has a) my respect and b) absolutely the right attitude & desire to play for the lads. The lad is a decent player, we haven't questioned that really, if he comes, he'll have my backing till he doesn't deserve it.

This is exactly the right idea IMHO. If he signs you have two options. 1- Have a pop at him and see him perform like ****e. 2- Get behind him and give him the chance to prove some doubters wrong. For me there is only one option.
Now it's bad to boo him! I'm sceptical like many, but he gets my support to begin with and a clean slate.
I've been very anti this signing from the start but purely based on his comments about us and the inherent dangers that this could all blow up in Mon's face. However, I don't doubt his ability. I have said I think he is a decent player since he was linked with us and have no doubt he can score goals. So, the fact he has seemingly pushed this move through, despite the animosity shown towards him, is testimony to his desire to come here. Unless this is the greatest suicide signing in history, he deserves our support. I honestly think he will get a terrific reception now he is here and will respond likewise. I hope so anyway but there will be a suspicious element which he will need to guard against whilst living up here because there will be a concerted effort by some mags to compromise his position. I love SAFC more than I can dislike this lad for his something he has said but its incumbent upon him to show us why he wants to be here. If he does so, he will gain our respect and our support for sure.
