According to the Post, Gow has had some interest from League 2 clubs and did not show up to training today. The post are reporting that Gow will be moving on from Rovers. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Alan-G...-opportunity/story-21309342-detail/story.html
Don't know how you can say that when he is a very good technical player. His performance against Burton was great. Even so, it's unfair to judge based on just a couple of home games.
Its now been confirmed on Rovers twitter. Gow will NOT be returning to the club. He is out of contract with Exeter so is a free agent. We offered him a chance to prove his fitness in pre season before we offer him a contract but he has been offered deals at league 2 clubs so has decided to take up their offers and not return with us.
Should have seen it coming. Mercenary aged footballer been round the block and we ended up losing Eliot Richards who would have probably stayed. Oh we'll let's hope the next batch of players are contracted on lower wages and incentive based.
Within this article from the post http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Darrel...Rovers-Alefe/story-21310608-detail/story.html Clarke said: "Alan was offered the opportunity to come in and prove his fitness following the injury he sustained against S****horpe last season. That won't be happening at the moment as I know he has one or two firm offers from league clubs. It's disappointing for us, but from his point of view a firm offer from a League club is better than what we were able to offer him at this moment in time."
