Been scrolling through the players comments about Redfearn and so far they have all been positive, in particular it appears he has chatted regularly with Lees and O'Dea to try and build their confidence up. My own thoughts is that it is early days, but maybe the lad should be given to the end of the season to see how things go.
If he can get more out of the squad than Simon did, then why not? But it's a big ask, that squad is awful. Too many loan players.
Inside info is that most of the players are keen for Redfearn to get the job, but also think Bates has someone planned. Not that much different from most of the Leeds supporters thoughts.
Build up O'Dea by talking to him all night long it isn't going to make him a good player confidence or not...
The players aren't going to say Redfearn's crap are they? Especially if he's offered the job permanently.
His managerial record's appalling and I doubt the players want him for any reasons other than A) not wanting a change, and B) not wanting to be worked really hard by the next manager. I'd feel bitterly disappointed if we appointed him, and I can't believe there are fans who are swallowing all the propaganda being put out there by the club which is conditioning us to warm to Redfearn as a potential manager. It's just like what they do on Fox News when they have a candidate Murdoch wants to win (i.e. Santorum and Romney in the ongoing presidential primaries). They give him a little bit of air time at first which they then increase, and then start getting party insiders and analysts talking about them as much as possible, saying what a sensible choice they'd be. This then gets all the other media and party members talking about them as a potential candidate too, and all of a sudden they end up being appointed. Watch the same happen with Lapdog Neil.
