Its amazing how people were so optimistic just a week ago and now it sounds like they are on the brink of suicide. We always knew we were a mid table team with a mid table squad, nothing changed. I have been saying all season that our performances will catch up with us in form of results unless we improve our performances. We have not done this, I can't believe how obvious it is to me what needs changing yet its still not happening. At the very least, we'll all be optimistic in a week's time again when we beat the wall
Really can't see josh mentionong MD in his thread clive.me Maybe it was reference to others, like a winger, creative mid and a striker? But thats just my take.
He said it's really obvious to him what needs changing but it's still not happening. Surely that means he wants McDermott sacked.
If you think it's really obvious what needs changing yet it's still not happening then how can you be behind the manager?
Because he's not rushing in to making signings that he isn't relatively sure are going to be what we need. We've had managers who bought out of panic in recent years and it's left us with a shocking amount of deadwood that seriously impacted our ability to make meaningful transfers over this summer, yet you're advocating doing even more of that in a desperate attempt to get out of the division this year when with what we currently have available (financially) even if we did go for a "**** or bust" approach like last season, the odds are still against us getting out of this division. So why not try a more patient approach, one that relies on considered decisions on who is brought in? One that is based around building a young team that will develop and grow together and will have a much more realistic chance of getting promoted next season or the season after? The approach that worked for Reading and Norwich and Southampton and got them all into the Premier League while we sold all our best players? It's not that difficult to work out but you overlook it every time and it's ****ing tiring. Nobody here or on any other Leeds forum has the energy or patience to listen to you rehash the same tired old arguments that have absolutely no basis whatsoever to anybody with half a brain, because we can all see what's actually going on.
He was on here and got banned way before that. Ban evading is a banable offence. Why is he still here?
I remember this is the problem I had with you last time you fail at understanding. I don't have to agree 100% with everything someone does just because I like them as a manager, and I don't have to disagree 100% with someone who I don't like as manager. Equally I think he is getting more out of these players than previous managers have done as well as any manager thats available, they are a far better unit than they were last season and he is looking for a variety of play, unfortunately its a long task to get a capable squad together especially when you are only able to sign 4 players in your first transfer window. The next step though in the progression of this team is changing the formation to provide width and defend better against width, he knows this and thats why he is trying to bring in wide players. To me, he seems to not think he has the players there that are capable of playing a different formation whereas I think he does. Maybe he wants to keep consistency through that until we are able to permanently change formation but I think we have the players there to play a 532 or 442.
