Agree with Doc.if Bates invested in the team that January we would have been promoted.In the last couple of seasons teams in and around the play off positions that invested heavally were fighting for automatic promotion towards the end of the season.Bates stopped us from been promoted.
No, I don't think we have a top 6 squad imo. Nothing against the players, the first team isn't far off imo but our squad is severely lacking strength in depth.
Great players mostly don't need a manager, but a good manager can create a team that is stronger than the collection of individual players.
A good manager still needs something to work with at the end of the day though. injuries to key players will see us slip down the table, that is what we are banking on.
