    Morning Folks,

Warnock believes that the arrival of Tate and Thomas has stopped our slippery slide down the table. Up to an extent I would agree, BUT I do believe the current crop of players have been under performing this season, agree?

Not surprisingly, Becchio has been voted man of the match on an online poll, agree?

Shoulds we be concerned that Diouff did not kick a ball last Saturday, is there anything going on behind the scenes?

Not much more to say really, I'm off to get some marmite on toast <ok>

Morning Elland, influx of a new player(s) always brightens up a team, as players have to step up to the plate and perform or warm the bench.
Emailed a friend of mine who was at the match on saturday, and he stated that Diouff showed no emotion whatsoever, do we need this?

Only other thing to say is...hate that marmite! and the weather here is lovely now steady 25/27C <ok> <laugh>

Morning all. I reckon the team have underperformed all season long, and think a lot of that goes down to the uncertainty because of the takeover. Amazing how our fortunes changed as soon as the deal was done, because it was like a weight had been taken off the players shoulders. We haven't played hoofball in the last 3-games and have played it on the deck and brought a bit of skill and flair into our game. That doesn't happen because NW changed his coaching methods, that happened because the players started to play with a smile on their faces and wanted to show what they could do. No more doom and gloom in the dressing room and even players who have been shocking have stood up and done their bit. Our best player this season was left out and we didn't miss him, so you have to say that things are looking up.

EHD is a class act and maybe a deal is being done to keep him. He's been good in the dressing room as well, so if he's going to be here he will now have a bit of competition for his place, so good news. The 2 new lads have helped and Tate has marshaled our back line well and does a lot of talking, so Lees and Byram have done well. Young Byram looks like being a future star so well done Neil showing a bit of faith in the lad. We know we missed out on Beckford and a few more players, due to the protracted takeover but will we have a couple of top players lined up for next month.

So all you Warnock knockers please stop it as he doesn't do hoofball, the players did that not him, as we've seen over the last 3-games. If only this deal could have gone through much earlier, we may have been fighting at the top, instead of giving them a 12 point start before we started playing.

    Morning doc,

Could imagine Diouff would be a person to have around the dressing room. Also heard he has given a lot of encouragement to the younger players

    Morning All,

buggered if I know what's perked them up, but if it was the takeover announcement, then let's have the announcement every week!

Seriously though, I think it's down to a number of factors. Sure, the announcement will have helped a bit, but also consider that for the last 3 weeks, we've had a more settled side, fewer suspensions & injuries, some key players returning, new players beginning to realise what's required to play for Leeds, and most importantly IMO, Varney not on the field of play at any point. Another thing I've mentioned a number of times (with little feedback) is that we seem to be playing 4-3-3 at home, when before, it seemed to be 4-4-1-1. 4-3-3 makes a team more positive, and forces you to defend from the front. The players seem to have responded to this too. Another factor I've noticed over the last few matches is that we have midfielders ghosting into the box on a regular basis, and even scoring goals! Not sure if this is down to the personnel, the tactics, or what - but I'm not complaining!

i'm just so happy that we look like a hungry team again. Who knows what might happen!

EHD has said himself he struggles to play three a week so no suprise he was rested <ok>

Where does he get back in? Competition for places in exactly what we need! Even an unfit Diouf looked our best player at the start of the season & now we may not be able to accomodate him for the next match. Thats progess alright <cheers>

    Morning all :)

Morning all. Warnock said the take over thing affected all the players even though he didnt think it would. In my books, they all started with a clean slate three games back and I will judge them from then on. Would love to know what are the prospects of Thomas staying for full season

Morning all - Think it is a combination of the two new players and being able to bring someone on like Hall over Pugh and remember we also have Ross back <ok>

Ross ran the show on Saturday. Him and Becchio were top drawer up front and caused all sorts of problems for huddersfield. Where we've looked positive but shaky against palace and leicester, the two wins sunk in and the confidence showed in a controlling display against huddersfield. Of course, our fans had a big part to play. The players did brilliantly in silencing the home crowd and we helped to suck the ball into the net in the second half.

My only complaint is that we controlled the game so much that it was a brilliant opportunity to regain some of the goal difference lost against watford. Credit to the lads though, they kept positive and kept pushing for a 5th right until the end
