Good Morning All, A few bits to talk about. Sven's gone, O'Neill odds on to take the post. West Ham beat Brighton last night, meaning that they have a seven goal margin even if we beat Birmingham tomorrow night. (Is it time we used Paynter ) Do we stick to the regular side that has done us well in the past 4-5 weeks (if Snodds is fit) , or is it time to bring Becchio back.
Morning all, morning YNBK. You got in before I did. If Snoddy is fully fit, he starts. Otherwise, it'll be the same as started on Saturday. I would also start with Varynun on the right rather than Sam. Although he appears to offer less of an attacking threat than Sam, he's a bit more solid. Better to use Sam as an impact sub half way through the 2nd half. Would, however, like to see Becchio on somewhat earlier tomorrow night than was the case on Saturday. McC. hasn't scored for a couple of games. So time to put a wee bit of pressure on by swapping with Becchio if McC. hasn't scored within the first hour. Think we'll scrape in 2-1 tonight, but wouldn't be too surprised if it wasn't a draw. Should be a good game.
Eye up Boggers (and Kissa). A few points Pugh has settled in well, would you say he deserves an automatic start. O'Dea has scored a couple of crutial goals for us. As an all round player, is he better then we thought he would be? Which dead wood do we get rid of in January ?
Boggers Varynen was **** on saturday in that position, tucked in too far! id rather play Howson on the right but I dont trust Varynen in the middle

No doubt BATES has got Keogh on the cheap expect to pay £300k along with Pugh £500k show the door Paynter £250k and Bruce £100k

Haven’t been to Kavos since I was a kid ( I learned to swim there ) and I don’t fancy going back. 24 years old and them type of holidays just piss me off. I like to get pissed but I’d rather sit in a cheap bar and just get blotted talking with friends or watching a football game whilst abroad. And for 350 you can nearly get 2 weeks in Bulgaria ffs. Jesus I am getting old.
Not sure I entirely agree with you. I think Varynen may have been working to a game plan. What Saturday did show was that we missed Snoddy's attacking threat, as well as the bit he does in defense. Didn't think Varynen was that bad, but the combination of he & Howson wasn't as effective as it could be. It was the first time they've started together I think. So may be things will get sorted out before tomorrow night. Wouldn't want Howson on the right. He would definitely get lost, & we'd get very little out of him. Probably best to leave him & Clayton securing the middle.
