Think your moving the goal posts here Jager, it's obvious in the final analysis that Martinez going was the best thing that happened, at this point in time, but it wasn't at the time it happened was it? which is what we are talking about here. regarding the compensation for Sousa, it was either £300,000, or £500,000, read both figures some where along the way, probably £300,000

Kuqi will always be remembered for one particular miss in my books though - I think the biggest sitter missed I have ever seen from a Swansea player <doh> !! However, he gave his all whenever he played and was a great ambassador for the club when Besian died - just for that he was worth whatever we paid for him whilst he was here.

... for ruining our 32red advertising triangles <laugh>

He'd miss a chance and boom, his stud would rake across them - they looked pretty tatty after a while <laugh>

Nope Neil Taylor and his prima Donna antics for me, yes he's a good player but his off field activities is a factor, Beattie was not a good signing, but at least he hasn't tried to embarrass the swans and at least tries when he is on the field, I would say pintado is worse

Remember Taylor giving it the big one when he was injured about how he couldn't wait to come back because he'd just got into the team and wanted to cement his place as the Swans left back? What happened to that? Very disappointed in him.

    Worst Signings in recent years?

    No 1 = Abbot
    No 2 = Fallon
    No 3 = Pintado
    No 4 = Beattie

My view on recent duff signings!...............

dobbie is a good man, we should go for more scots, and that goodwillie is in our range(ok he's been a bit of an header but.)
i would'nt say beattie's been our worst signing, he's scored a few for us(if he was'nt so injured it would help)
that reserve goalie ma(woteva) is pants.

Beattie won us points against Ipswich (I think? If not someone in blue!) and Boro away, points without which we may well not have been promoted, don't forget about that boys.
