Only saw the last 20 minutes, but to be honest, there was only one team in it. I am English through but fair play to the Welsh.
Not a good weekend for the rugby, but major British sporting wins elsewhere: Hamilton winning the Grand Prix Lizzie Armistead winning the World Cycling (with no team mates) Tai Woffinden winning the Speedway GP and on the brink of his second world title Liam Phillips winning the BMX Supercross World Cup title
I wore my Red Welsh Rugby shirt around Weston SM yesterday with a lot of pride. But did not get much banter from anyone except when I mentioned football to one group we met, there was an Ipswich fan amongst them. Ironic that given the choice, I would have taken a draw against England for three points for City. Mae hen wlad..... eh ROD.
I wanted an England win but consoled that Mam was happy looking down from above. I thought the Welsh team wanted it much more, especially with the injuries they sustained prior and during the match. Fair play, and and at Twickenham as well, they deserved the win.
Still think England will progress, there's too many injuries now to the Welsh squad. Plus I can't see Dan Biggar putting in another complete performance like that. Still confused why England felt they had to go for the win, when a draw was there for the taking. If they went for the draw that would of forced Wales to really have to go for it against Fiji to rack some points up.
