If any players want to pi55 off and give up the opportunity to play under one of the greatest players of all time then they need their head examined. Everything he says makes sense. He comes across as having no ego but a purpose to nurture and develop every player he comes across. And a massive sense of realism too. I'm so happy we locked him in for a 4 year deal and hope he can stay with us for years to come until he wants to pursue his other activities. Roll on tomorrow. i think we could be seeing quite a few goals this season. STID

Agreed, MON. The likes of Sinclair and Allen need their ****ing heads read. Greed - that's all it is. Neither will play that regularly imo and will be small cogs in massive wheels. But who cares about them? I don't.

Two fantastic quotes on the changes we may see this season that I picked out:

"Expect a slightly earlier killer pass"

    and

"Sometimes you can look at possession where its 62/38 but its 3-0 for the team without possession. It's not the 62 per cent that matters but what did they do? How many chances did they create? Sometimes you see a player coming off after a game and you say 'Oh, he ran 8.5 miles'. And so? But what did he do with the ball?"

Those that (sometimes justifiably) have criticised us for racking up the stats that ultimately don't count for much if you don't bury the ball in the back of the net will be pleased. Expect a much more attacking Swans this season, I think. THAT'S why I was not especially bothered to see Allen go, particularly for £15M.

    [EDIT: Just found a third:

"to have alternatives when Plan A is not working; small things, tactically, which maybe could still surprise the opponent either during the game – or from one game to another."

    I like what I'm hearing.]
