got to love blackpool away, **** hole of a ground and a town but i bloody loved it..
great atmosphere mainly due to most fans being half cut, wooden stand which felt like it could give way at any minute, then city shirts in every pub after dancing to Abba and The Nolans...only in blackpool!

Mixed emotions about my trip to Blackpool.

I went all that way and didn't get in as the coppers thought i was too drunk.

So me and the others that didn't get went back to the working mens club down the street and watched it there. Guzzler turned up pissed up as usual.

The blokes in there after were slating the coppers, calling them all Preston ****s.

    Good night after.

Well i was able to walk and i wasn't slurring my words as sometimes do when i 'm pissed.

I was singing, but that's nothing new at a football match.

And i was out afterwards and nobody stopped me getting in anywhere. Was doing a bit of the oops upside your head on the floor in the pub. Were you in the club dedicated to the 80s?

I wasn't the only one who risked being nicked if we tried to argue our case with the coppers. A few others didn't get in and tried to climb the fence outside.

I'd say 6/10. Guzzler put me in my place. The barmen didn't like it when i bought him a drink- they wanted him out.

i heard a few people talking and saying people couldnt get in, you where unlucky most the people near me where rat arsed, but well behaved, id only had one as we got there a bit later then planned..

i think the pub you mean is reflex, didnt make it there was just a bit far out from the others, like it in there tho they have them in most major cities and towns, and walkabout/flares..Hull has naff all when you think about it..

I was in Blackpool for a stag weekend a few years back, we went to a massive club(the name of which I can't remember, but it's got 'biggest club in Europe' on it's signs) and they wouldn't let some of us in as there were too many of us and we we'd been out in various pubs for about seven hours already. The club had about six entrances and if you didn't get into one, you just walked to the next one and kept going to everyone got in, worst security I've ever seen.

i hate that group of people not allowed in rule..it seems to be creeping in more and more, happened on my mates stag do last year in birmingham (dont ask me, why he chose there) one pub we where the only customers in all during the day, they where happy to take 200/300 quid off us caused no trouble or incidents whatsoever, ..went back and got changed for the night, and we all of a sudden wasnt allowed in because we where in a group, do they expect people to go out on there own?!.....

portakabin toilets, a stand which felt like my nephew built it in technology class, and a post every 5 foot along making a decent view impossible

still enjoyed the atmosphere, and would have enjoyed the pubs, i used to let citys result effect my whole weekend and if they got beat didnt feel like going out after etc, but learnt that life would be very dull and depressing if i kept on like that

I thought this was something about Leeds at first; took me ages to remember the whole thread was about nightclubs. I was trying to work out how you ended up at Elland Road whilst visiting Blackpool <laugh>

That is because the temporary stand was made slightly less temporary following their promotion to the Prem. I think the ground is decent. Do you go to use the pisser or watch the football? A lot of history to Bloomfield Road.

wasnt complaining, i said i bloody loved it...
i like going to the ****holes, you tend to get better atmospheres then the newer more modern grounds....doesnt stop it been ****hole tho, not really sure its worth making an issue over, just a throwaway description.
