    Yes I was being conservative, also assuming they had ice to pack it in to get to shore (& not just a tourist fishing trip iykwim) has a good cross section & core sample would good would be a huge amount of money for bluefin.

    Yep - I rather suspect the particular specimen won't be going to a Tokyo market! It's really been tightened up in the last 7 years or so. An Irish skipper caught one once and the Garda helped him pack it in ice in a coffin and fly it out to Japan for a fortune. Wouldn't get away with that now <laugh>
