Anyone heard of a group called the Gonads ? Its a punk rock type group with Charlton fan Garry Bushell as lead singer. They have been together since the late 70's and have recorded a couple of Charlton songs, which I came across on ITunes. Needless to say I bought one of the Charlton songs with the classic line in it of 'been going down The Valley since we were tots, fighting palace in our cots', or something like that.
Well, I was actually born the year after the Gonads formed in 1977, so I am quite a young punk rocker. But I have a collection running into 4 figures including a few very rare gems which should really have their own insurance policy. It is in my blood.
The very same tv critc of The Sun and latterly the People. He is working full time on The Gonads now.
