Was never confident he could do a job for us and he is yet to convince me otherwise. Too slow, poor first touch, lacks consistency, head drops to easily and seems to sulk far too much, 5 goals in 17 appearances is less than 1 in 3 not good enough I'm afraid for our 1st choice striker. Read a good stats article last month which showed his rate of attempted shots was way too low too (will try and find it).

Are you serious, have you watched the garbage he has been given us on the field, that was his first goal since august. The guy has no interest in Swansea, only the 70,000 he gets each week. the sooner we sign a striker with a point to prove rather than taking an easy pay day the better. I hope we are rid of him in January.

It's true that service to him is not at it's best, but when it does get to him, time and time again he's bold over on his fat arse by defenders, if he's not on his arse, passes to him bounce off to the opposition due to his bloody poor first touch. Now to his attitude, he played up big time in the media while on the bench as No2 to Bony, and when asked to step up last season was only adequate at best, but this season he is woeful, how can you possible defend a Striker that continually fluffs his lines on a one to one with the keeper and an open goal? this has happened on numerous occasions, and for me is evidence that he is not focused enough.

And don't forget he was ready to clear his locker at the liberty for bigger money at Some two bit Arab club, only to waltz back in when the deal fell through pre-season, this type of mercenary we can do without, if I had my way he would be gone in the January window, as it is we will without doubt have to bring in a proper Striker in January and hopefully he can sulk once again on the bench until the summer where no doubt he will look for another mug of a club to rip off..............<ok>

PS: The other problem we have with this nugget, is, he is on £55,000.00 per week, and he is after £77,000.00 per week, and why he wants to move on, the problem for us is, we cannot sell the lump of lard for less than 8 Million, since that is what Huw Jenkins agreed as his signing on fee? Lets hope he bangs in a few in the January window so that we can offload the joker. Hopefully Crystal Palace are still interested in him.

That Gomis goal was the first goal scored in open play ,that wasn't scored by Ayew , in a dozen games.

I'd offer Gomis plus £5million to QPR for Austin in January.

The new Manager could bring in his own striker.....

as long as it's not Russell Slade bringing in Kenwynne Jones...<laugh>

There is a saying that goes "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt".

Most posters on this thread should probably pay particular attention to it.

    Bless, quite sweet video this:

He certainly mostly seems to say the right things, wish he would just play consistently to his potential.

"SWANSEA City are bracing themselves for fresh interest in Bafetimbi Gomis during the January transfer window."

Shouldn't that be "embracing the interest"?! If Huw has the slightest bit of sense left he'll be pushing this through faster than a curried turd.

Seems the press think Shelvey and Gomis are going in the window .
If Curtis remains manager , I can see Montero testing the waters also ...just a hunch

Montero's problem is Taylor, If he would just give him the ball early and in space we would see an awful lot more of Monty attacking full backs and getting balls in the box. The problem is Taylor takes so long to pass the ball or runs directly at Montero and closes his space down, that Montero becomes easy to mark. So the management need to work on Taylor as his distribution is piss poor at best.

Taylor needs to be replaced for at least a few games .
Curtis's explaination for taking off Montero was after we took the lead he wanted Montero to stay outside but he kept coming to the middle .... I was happy watching him mix it up and coming into the middle .
Worst game I seen Taylor play for a while .
I just get a feeling Curtis has something against Montero and that was before he took him off yesterday
