I was just thinking about how many fans from abroad contribute to the cause on here, here are some I can think of.. bcfcSydney......Australia.. Tampabaybcfc.....USA.. Invermeremike......Canada.. Ciderabroad.....Portugal.. Supacon....Australia.. Manxrobin....Isle of Man.. Can you think of any others.. from our international community..?
Rod get's very bitchy when you remind him Wales ain't a country,it's only a principality... shhhh...!
Also AshtonMatt, who's Welsh he comes from my birthplace Newport Buttie. He's one of the one's from that city who has down really well for himself. but we also have Caldicott (spit) Cider Red, The Exciled Robin living over here
No problems with me mate,I reckon gods smiles on all of us Reds.....Imagine being a blue and having to pretend be proud to wear that horrible battenburg with a picture of a bleeding pirate on it and having to sing Eileen..
Whatever happened to Santiagored? We had several back and forths on this site and he was a very astute poster with good knowledge. Would be nice to hear from you again santiago all the way from Chile.
Very true Mike although I think he changed his handle before the end on old 606 - he worked for the Conchya-y-toro vineyard as an intrepretor if I remember correctly. Maybe he came home...
As I said prem my kind of red wine man. Let's see if we can link up with him again and regarding your comment about him possibly returning to jolly old I believe he may have had his home severely damaged, or destroyed, in the last big bang.
He did invite me over to take a tour (as I am a HUGE Conchya fan) but warned me that they were due for "a big one" Would be nice to hear from him again and that all is ok...
I'll travel anywhere for a free glass of Concha y Toro, in fact I land in England at 10:00 am on Monday.
I was hoping to get to the Blackpool game but family issues in Kent may derail my plans to be at AG. I will do my best and it would be so nice to meet some of the posters on this site, or at least the ones that are not in government care (lol) at this time. Have a meeting with my M-I-L's counsellor on Tuesday 5th and will know better after that meeting whether I can get down to Somerset at the right time for my flight out of Bristol on the 24th. Failing being able to attend I will be back in late March on my return to Canada after winter in the Canaries. By the way I stay in Caleta de Fuste on Fuerteventura between Nov 24th through to March 13th so if any of you are down in that neck of the woods during those dates please contact me via this site and perhaps we could get together for a beer. Cheers. Another lousy City day today, just finished at 0-1.
Wiz, There was another City fan heading off to Brazil a few months back - can't remember who it was though. After todays result, it's probably nice to be far away......
As a side note, I have a kid of my U6 soccer (footy) team who is of Indian descent but his first name is "Bristol". I asked his parents where the name came from and they told me that many years ago they lived in England and made Birmingham their home. They visited many English cities and their favorite was Bristol so that's what they named their kid as they didn't want to give him a traditional Indian name. He gets a real kick when Coach turns up to practice and game days with a Bristol City shirt on. My team currently are having a much better time than my beloved City - we are top of the league having played 6, won 5 and lost 1. Maybe I should have a word with SL for any upcoming vacancies...?? Edit....Any good defenders to spare...?
Go find yourself a good looking sheep ROD and don't forget to take your wellies. To be regarded as an overseas contributor you have to be over some sea - get it? lol. Seriously how's life in the backwaters?
