if you go to the bottle of the thread page you can see a choice to see ignored content.
If you click on that you will see all the thread titles on the front page. Then you'd know if someone else has done a thread on the same subject before you.

Hope you see this a genuine advice cos you seem stressed and this might help you avoid it.

Matth take people off ignore then you would know what threads were on the board!
