He's a decent player who now seems to have settled into English football. To answer the original question, there are better strikers in world football, but they are going to be very very expensive (which tells you how well he's done)

Another two assists from Giroud and unlucky not to get on the score sheet himself. Another good game from him today
I'll admit he was good today, but i honestly thought Bendtner was better when came on. Maybe it's because he's fresher, or maybe it's due to Norwich being tired.
Bendtner did well when he came on, but there's no way he would have been as clinical with those flicks and assists earlier in the game.
NB had a decent run out and after he came on we gained a bit more control of the game. He doesn't mix it up as well as OG but the rest of his game was probably better imo. Both were involved in goals as well.
Giroud played well, if he was a bit sharper in the box he would be a Top class target man. He's going to have a decent season.
This is exactly the issue I have with him. He is a good player but not the world class striker I want us to have.
Nope. Not really. We defo need a second choice and our other outlets to be fit (Theo, Pod, Oxo, etc...) but no he's done a fine job this season.
Just imagine if we had Gonzalo Higuian (daydreams momentarily) Sorry, but i'll stick with my original vote that we need better than Giroud.
who the fucking hell can actually click on the option that says "we dont need better " jesus h christ . If we want to finish 4th , hes top man for that Job . If we are serious about challenging . No chance . You only get so many chances in a game , he lets FAR too many pass him by . He is an average striker , no more
We won't be bringing in any top striker in january so Giroud will just need to up his game, we don't have any choice
Gazidis said we need one, and I think I remember Kronke saying we need one. They also said there is money available for one. But according to Wenger I expect Podolski, Walcott and Ox will be like new signings so we may well not buy one.
Who is there though? Falcao, Cavani, Higuain already made their moves, Lewandowski we all know where he's going, Benzema will be a rip off and Suarez isn't worth wasting words on. Benteke?
Giroud has only scored 1 league goal in the past 7 league games, that's not good enough. He started strongly in the league, but has faded away in terms of scoring, yes he creates goals, but his task is to be scoring goals over assists. I don't see how anyone can look at 1 league goal in 7 games as something good, rather than being not good enough? We need more goals from Giroud in the league.
