Mate I hate playing 4-4-1-1/ 4-5-1 even though it probably worked last year with VDV and Bale having blinders. Agree with the idea on having Sandro and Parker in the centre, would create a fantastic "wall" to get past, both have amazing engines and work rate and I'd have the 4 you mentioned infront of them, with that group of players I feel we could really be a force in the midfield, similar to how City are set out with Barry and Toure with the likes of Silva, Aguero, Nasri and Dzeko up front. Plus with the likes of Huddlestone, Lennon, Defoe etc on the bench, that's great strength to then mix things up if the current formation wasn't working. <ok>

Indeed PNP, he seems to something of an enigma when pull on a Spurs shirt, but a supremely talented player when he wears his country's colours.

I wonder why it was suddenly decided that he was needed?
Did a deal fall through, perhaps?

Time for him to get his head down and prove that he can do it in the Premier League, hopefully.

From the interview I read yesterday, he doesn't seem to accept any responsibility for not being played. Wish we'd bloody sold him <ok>

I think we made the decision when we learned that VDV's hamstring wasn't going to be much use until November...

He says in that interview that he will act "Like the professional I am". As a failure to do that, so far, has allegedly been part of the problem, let's hope he means what he says.

I get the fact that he´s angry and i was surprised he wasn´t sold, but as of now he´s still a Spurs player. So if he´s given a real chance he really should try and show us all what he is surely capable of and improve us and himself.

Do you know what PNP, I was going to post the link in the Mirror, glad I didn't after reading the full account in yours. Just goes to show how 'selective' journalism can put a different spin and change peoples views. I thought "bolshy little sod' when I read it, but in yours, respect to him for the last paragraph, the one the Mirror failed to include!

Also, I can understand his shock at suddenly being wanted after being farmed out on loan at every opportunity. I think Harry maybe giving him last chance saloon, good on him for that if it is the case. Tbh, he's needed, we are light in the striking department, and if he comes good, we won't be. His biggest problem for me was the physical side. Just not strong enough, so tends to go down the 'I'll get a free kick out of it instead' route...we don't really like that in the PL, much rather staying strong going forward. Bale was feeble to start with, did something about it and got in the gym. Gio needs to sort this to be a success in the PL, he's got talent, but as Taarabt will find, most of the time its just not enough...however good they are for there country! <whistle>
