Over the past months I've had a number of issues raised to me in regards to members accounts. Therefore I thought I should just give some guidance on these issues for better clarity and on how to overcome any system issues you may personally experience; Scenario 1. Your visit to not606 states that you do not have administration rights or you cannot access the site appearing as though you have been banned. Resolution 1. Turn off your device and turn it back on again. This wll resolve the problem. Some ips via mobile phones in particular are blocked but this is not specific user related. Therefore if this should continue to happen to you, please click this link BEFORE you reset your device...http://www.whatismyip.com/ and private message me the ip. I will then attempt to get it unblocked with the site owner. Scenario 2. If after resetting your device, you find you still cannot access the site or you are experiencing trouble posting or creating threads. Resolution 2. Contact me via private message explaining the issues you are experiencing. There is a bug in the system and i may need to access your profile to rectify the situation. This is a simple process for me to do and only takes a matter of seconds to correct. Although some bugs may continue after repair in a different context ie being prevented from posting on a specific section, these scenarios will take slightly longer to repair but again just make me aware. If you cannot access your messaging system, I am also available via twitter. Scenario 3. It appears the site is broken or attempted access to the site appears to be hanging. Resolution 3. The site from time to time will go down. A number of not606 members (non Gills members) contact me immediately via twitter when these instances occur. I will in turn make personal contact with the site owner, who will attempt to repair the site as soon has possible. I will give site updates via my twitter account if i am able (dependent on work/personal commitments at the time). Scenario 4. Unable to see pictures, which appear as three dots. Resolution 4. It is a fault in the template, if you go to the bottom left hand corner of this thread and change the not swearing template to swearing, the picture will reappear. Since i've moderated this board and site in early 2011, I have only ever banned about two Gills members from the Rainham End. People understandably think when they cannot access the site they have been banned or blocked access to certain areas of the site. Hopefully the above points help overcome these concerns. So if your account is not working, don't assume the worst, just please contact me.
