Has Gibson gone cool on us or is it (as I believe) we have gone cool on him?? With the arrival of Larsen and Gardiner and with Catts/Coleback/Myler where would he fit in.

Brucie still wants him I rekon, as for him, if he is having second thoughts about us because of the recent signings of Larsson and Gardner then we don't want him, surely a premier league footballer who has played in the champions league for Man United will have enough about him to think he can come to Sunderland new signings or not and force his way into the first team.

As for were would he fit in well I would start him on the bench for the first game with Gardner and Cattermole in the middle but football now is a squad game he will get his chance if he comes and then its upto him to cement his place in the first Xl

May well be having doubts now, when Bruce first enquired he may have thought, "ok i'll give it a try, i'll be the big cheese there, certain to start eveey game etc."

But now we have new recruits in the squad, things won't be as easy, no automatic choice for him. Maybe a little dent to his over inflated ego.

Maybe he will just be content to warm Man U bench as opposed to ours. Or someone else will take, as he is a decent player and will do a job somewhere, will it be at the SOL, only time will tell.

Another case of if he comes he comes, if he doesn't "C'est la vie".

Not rated by the Man U fans at all, not a great runner with the ball, not a fast athlete, and a poor passer of the ball, was a summery from my snooker playing pal out here, and he`s a life long fan. He hopes we do buy him though, sees it as a quicker route to six points coming season.
