...and we need players who can dance - for dressing room morale. I think we've suffered in this area since Adebayor left and Toure left - Eboue can only muster so much up on his own.

I have not seen Gervinho, and so do not have an opinion on him. Just to throw that out there.

i expect that if you do sign him then man city will put in a bid for about £60 million in january...because they see a marketing ploy in selling gervinho wigs

I'd take Kompany and Yaya in exchange and City could keep the player and the marketing rights to Gervinho wigs.

He had agreed to go to Newcastle apparently after an offer was made and Tiote and Cabaye were able to convince him. Seems he failed to convince the club's hierarchy who were left thoroughly unimpressed by the Ivorian's attitude etc after initial talks were held.

Would have loved to have had him on the back of the shirt but Newcastle's impressive showing last season was majorly as a result of the dressing room spirit of the team so I suppose it must come first and we must beware of signing anyone who appears to have the potential to ruin that.

If Clichy goes then we should put a bid in for Enrique - £10m + a share of Gervinho wig sales

Nah, he was sold to us over you by the simple fact that St James had something resembling an atmosphere compared to the Cathedral of Emirates abbey

Well someone is bitter over the 1-0 loss and the 4-4 comeback against us...

This is what Gervinho has missed out on. There's no doubt that he would be idolised in our team (Newcastle) if he performed well, and he would have had almost guaranteed first-team football every week. However, now he's joined Arsenal and will probably be considered little more than a squad player, unless he plays far better than anyone expected. He'll be up against a lot of quality and might be sitting on the bench on numerous occasions.

I don't think anyone can deny that the individual player support up here is phenomenal if a player performs really well. We've idolised players like Tiote and Ben Arfa, for example. However, if Gervinho would rather go into a strong Arsenal side whilst being considered an average player who must work his way up from the bottom, then so be it. However, if the reports about his attitude are true, then I can imagine him having his ego popped fairly soon at the hands of Wenger.
