*Sigh* I'll give you a few examples.... Japan was hit by 2 nukes and lost a lot of men/women, and their economy has been doing pretty well (on and off, like all economies) The US won the war and their economy has done well over the last half century. Germany was one of the founder nations of Europe and most of the decisons made by Europe since then have favoured the largest nations/economies in mainland Europe. Germany's economy is based on production of goods rather than the markets like the UK Their political leaders haven't ****ed up as badly (ie Bush, Berlusconi, the Greek governments over the ladt couple of decades,...)
