Bloody hell. I'd feel a bit for whoever helped them qualify and would miss out as a result, but that's a serious upgrade.
The German strip was bad but that's probably the ugliest England strip I've ever seen and why blue socks? Lets return to the traditioal styles: white shirt and socks with navy blue shorts for the first kit and red shirt and socks with white shorts if a change kit is required.
I couldn't just play for anyone! I suppose it's all down to individual choice? Im sure deeney has supported England as a lad so How can he go play for NI? It's ok people saying he may never get another chance of playing in a tournament! But if you're English you're English. Imo.
I agree with you but players often have it in their contracts if they get to play internationals they receive extra pay for being an international. not right but they see it as a way to earn extra coin
Last night was probably one of the best England performances I have seen. A collection of England managers including Hodgson have killed any enthusiasm I had for the international team. Roy Hodgson the spawny bastard has stumbled across a selection of players that may well take us to the latter stages of the Euros. The youthful team zipped the ball around at pace, pressed the opposition, they were prepared to receive the ball in tight areas and created some really great chances. Very impressed. Hodgson has to take this team of young players that offer entertaining and exciting football that stands a chance of getting results. Sack Rooney off - Build the team around Alli, Kane, Dier, Vardy, Barkley, Rose and Clyne. Give them this Euros and tell them to go out and play without fear. We're a commanding centre half off a truly excellent international side. Smalling and Cahill too quiet for me. We need a Tony Adams type centre half to shout and organise the defence. Delli Alli was comfortably the best player on the pitch for either side. I thought he was magnificent - he has got it all and he's got the footballing world at his feet.
Just got back into the country, watched the highlights on ITV player, really impress with the quality of the goals.
Tokyo/Taipei/Paris/Cotonou and Togo in W Africa, This is Adebayor's house in Togo, its massive, the taxi just got in the way when I was trying to take it.
Totally agree with this When we went 2-2 most sides would of held their line and taken the draw. That young team wanted the win and went for it. An "experienced" team would have been less likely to. Also you could see how much it meant to them to win the match. It would be foolish to think we will win the Euros but give me a team playing this way anytime
That That's quite possibly the most bizarre round trip I've ever seen. I love Tokyo (despite everyone being mental), Taipei's okay (it's like a dirty Hong Kong), Paris is lovely (apart from the people) and I've never had the pleasure of visiting Cotonou or Togo.

Bit harsh on Rooney, the leading England scorer of all time. If anyone thinks the friendly v Germany is a milestone for the national team then you're guilty of the same thing as those Radio Humberside callers that get carried away when City play well. It was ONE game in a FRIENDLY and now all of a sudden we've got a serious chance of winning the Euros !
