George Friend is stepping down as our DOF at the end of the season, he will be replaced by Ricky Martin who will join the club immediately working along side George Friend to ensure a smooth transition, Lets hope Martin can find us players who will play for the shirt and show some interest in winning some football matches With the number of players who are out of contract hopefully we can get a squad with some real quality in it and who are not injury prone
Friend assembled a poor squad, alongside the invisible Head of Recruitment, Chris Spendlove, so it’s right that he has stepped down as he’s clearly out of his depth. At least Martin has more experience - but it remains to be seen whether he will be building a squad for League One or League Two next season.
