I remember the "Do it for Rambo" banners in 2010 after his horrific injury.
He was out for around a year and to be honest he seems to be the scapegoat of your team.

Bale joined us and played brilliantly for the first 4 months until we played Birmingham in December 2007...they mangled his leg in a tackle that took place on the touch line. Bale ended up in plaster for 4 months and returned to football in september 2008. He was a shadow of the player he'd been previously. It took him until Jan 2010 until he refound his confidence and form and he ain't looked back.

I think people are being way too harsh on Ramsey.

I ain't digging at arsenal fans cos I think this kind of thing happens all over the place.

He may need to leave, he may need to go out on loan he may never get his form back but to be honest when we as fans slaughter players for lack of loyalty yet sometimes we show little or no loyalty to players who deserve it and I'd argue that ramsey deserves it.

Ramsey is ****. He has no excuse. Wilshere was out for longer, and it looks like he's never been away. Ramsey has been crap for 2 years now.

Today he was defo a scapegoat. He was one of our better players but people were having a go at him instead of the culprits (Arteta, Santi to an extent, Oxo)
((On the Ja. On here reactions were pretty much balanced.))

I dont think anyone still thinks Ramsey will make it at Arsenal, he hasn't improved at all since he came back

Ramsey was on of our better guys today, shame he couldn't finish. Jack's injury is different from Ramsey's. And yes Jack still looks a bit out of it (SLoppy passing, even he admitted he won't be to his prime until December.)

Ramsey did nothing wrong today. He kept the ball and made a few decent runs from the midfield and went close with a few attempts. It was the wide players who were utter ****.

But at least Jack offers something. Whilst his burst hasn't fully returned, he does still have some, plus he has far better vision, passing, attitude, pace, tackling etc. Ramsey just gets the ball, slows things down, or tries to do to much with it. He thinks he's a better player than he is.

Also you can't compare Wilshere's injury to that of Ramsey's. Aaron had his leg snapped in two and to get over that is way harder, especially for a midfield player. Wilshere's was a stress injury and he clearly does not have this problem and if anything he needs to calm down when battling it out in midfield.

Ramsey made some good runs today, good passes and close efforts. He definitely offered something today.

Football isn't a sympathetic game. We've given Ramsey plenty of time to recover, we've sent him on loan etc. It's clear he's not good enough for us now. Why should we keep carrying him?

Ramsey was one of the few players that offered us something today. He took a few shots and play a few nice one touch passes in midfield. Arteta was too slow today and I think he slowed down the midfield badly. And as mentioned the wide players were just horrible.

Jack had a pretty terrible touch in his return games, over-hit and under-hit passes all over. But people here will still call them excellent performances.

It's just that with Ramsey and Gervinho people are already on trigger to blame the loss on them, and completely forget about any positive impact they had in previous games. Whereas with 'fan favorites' like Walcott and Wilshere even a **** performance doesn't really pick up much flak.

    Get used to it.

Ramsey was 'ok' today, I don't think there was any distinguished bad performance today. Villa pressed well, and together with the conditions it killed our flow.

Because he is good squad player. He does a good job when he comes on. also he is still 21. We have far bigger problems than Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey was our best midfielder today IMO. He's been very harshly treated by a lot of arsenal fans but he's got the quality to make it. I still have faith!

Not sure you can compare having your leg snapped in 2 and a long term stress injury.
Wilshere has spoken about how hard he found his time out of the game...yet Ramsey wasn't only out for a long time ... there was a serious doubt about if his career was over. On top of that is the psychological problems this caused him. Not to mention the pain he endured

Although Ramsey was fine today and a welcome improvement to his usual performances, I don't think he'll make it at Arsenal.

He doesn't seem to have the 'footballing intelligence' of Arteta, Santi, Cesc in the past. How many times do we see him try a flick in the middle of the pitch? Or how about those godawful turns he does in the centre spot, where he usually gets dispossessed? His first touch also seems to have suffered.

I'm not sure how much any of this has to do with his injury.

Arteta has had a few average games recently. But he's a player who is liked so he won't get the flak.

It's a sad state of affairs that we are praising a player for doing nothing wrong, that's a perfect example of the lowered standards that have happened at Arsenal in recent years. Ramsey has been a huge disappointment and to be honest I can't see him becoming the player we all hoped he would become. We need to invest in January, we don't have enough top players that can create something out of nothing.

Of all the performances to throw mud at Ramsey for, this was not one of those. Clearly fans are willing to let other players get off the hook.
