    Murray at his infuriating best.
    Easy first set.
Lost the second from a winning position.
Could have lost the third, from a winning position, but regrouped to easily win the tie break.
Lost his first service game in the fourth set, with Querrey currently 1- 4 up with a second break of serve.

Didn't he dump Djoko out last year? Would be ironic if Querrey was to meet Djoko? If that happens I suspect Sam would be the most popular American in SW19 for about 4/5 hours, or would the crowd cheer for the great champion that Djoko is, rather like they do for Federer, or Nadal to a lesser extent? Vamos Djoko!!!

Poor Andy - he's barely playing at 50% now. It must be heartbreaking for him.

Murray clearly in agony, what a shame.

I wonder what Cilic and Muller will be thinking at their next changeover.

Many players would have retired at the end of the 4th if not earlier, so well done to Andy for sticking it out through what looked like serious pain.

McEnroe wouldn't be bumming Querrey so much in the commentary if he wasn't American. He's played well, but not as well as McEnroe is making out. This was far more about Murray being injured than Querry being a world beater.

Yeah, I agree. Don't think that Querry would have had a chance against a fit Murray.

Without a doubt. And sadly, it does open up the prospect of a rather one-sided final.

I would hope Andy does himself a favour and takes the rest of the year off to recuperate from his injury. Take a leaf out of Federer's book, and come back refreshed at the start of 2018. Skip the clay court and be refreshed for Wimbledon. I wish him well whatever he chooses to do, but participating on the hard courts leading up to the US Open is not going to do the injury any favours at all.

Who is Querrey's opponent in the semi? Cilic or Mueller. The thought of Cilic and Djoko (if Djoko can come through) in the final could be very appetising and combustive. Croatia v Serbia!!!

And likewise, Cilic v Federer gave us a brilliant QF last year.

If CIlic makes the final, we should be alright. But Querrey or Muller (despite the former beating Novak last year, and the latter beating Nadal this year) vs Novak or Federer has the makings of a horribly one-sided final. Great for me as a Federer fan, but certainly not great for a memorable spectacle.

The biggest problem is that he's got probably thousands of points to defend from now until the end of the year and with Nadal and Federer doing so well he could end up being ranked 4 or even 5. He could certainly take the clay court season off next year and he'll probably skip Davis Cup but I don't think he's quite at the point of taking 5 months off unless the hip requires major surgery.

I take your point Helen and it is a good one. We don't know the extent of his injury but to "crash" like he did in sets 4 and 5 suggests he would struggle to make an impression in the late summer in North America. It is up to Andy and his medical team as to what they do.

Cilic running away with the 5th set. Could easily end up 6-0.
