We all guessed and rumours have been on twitter alot recently and now Neil Danns has just tweeted this. Wishing gelson Fernandez all the best for the rest of the season , top lad , top player , It just confirms what we all thought. I think Michael Johnson wont be far behind So the clearout has started. Bruno Berner, Michael Ball, John Pantsil wont be far behind aswell i think
Massive shame. He had the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the league but he never got the chance. How Wellens, who trains 3 days a week and plays ****e, can get a starting place when Gelson works hard during training and in reserve games and doesn't even get on the bench is beyond me.
I think there has been more happening with Gelson behind the scenes. I think he only came here as a favour to Sven and since Sven left he wants to leave. He gave an interview to a french newspaper saying he regretted coming so i think it has been pretty inevitable that he is leaving But he did look a class apart at times
Shame because I think he showed a bit of promise that he could be a good holding player in Sven's system but if Nigel wants to play the two in midfield, then it's difficult to incorporate one who just sits and protects the defence and if he wanted to leave then it's best we parted company. Also, we have a similar player in Abe but Yuki is more versatile and he is of course our player so if we were going to lose some CM's, which we needed to, then the loan players were always going to be the most fallible.
I've heard he's at Udinese speaking to their representatives. Shows how capable he is, he's going to one of Serie A's top clubs and he couldn't make our bench
I think it has more to do with him sulking rather then his ability as to why he can only get on the bench
Sulking? He's been asking to play reserve matches to show what he can do, he's stayed back at training and he's even warmed up before anyone else at games. He hasn't sulked, he just hasn't been given a fair chance.
I agree AKCJ, from what I have seen and heard he did everything asked of him and yet still wasn't given a chance. I know I keep repeating myself but I stil say he was the CM we had that had the ability to drive us forward in games, Wellens just drives us sideways and backwards in a game hence, our forwards do not see enough of the ball and then some slate them for not being good enough. I just hope NP has a dynamic CM coming in OR he gives Dannsy his long overdue start in the centre of the park.
The impression i have got from both Johnson and Fernandes is they have both spat their dummy out since Sven left. Gelson said he only came for Sven and he wanted out while Johnson seems to think he is too good for us

He was capable of playing some fantastic football, but also capable of losing a game though indiscipline or madness That said, he was far better than the players that were given starting berths before him
