Definitely, but i will not applaud a Boyd goal until that scruffy gyppo gets a proper nice haircut like that James Chester.
id like that, with koren in midfield. really take the game to them at home.. reckon boyd will probably just replace koren tho..
Well Burnsy put on twitter that it looks like Boyd in for Evans with Meyler dropping into the DM role and Koren dropping back to Midfield
Have we finally found that elusive cutting edge partnership? And with Fryatt soon to return as back-up!!
Its early but I am going to go out on a limb here and say yes. Gedo has 5 goals and now has just as many league goals as Simpson has, so he clearly is class. Boyd is class as well. The partnership up front was almost never about 2 strikers it was about anyone making the runs into the box to get on the end of the balls from Brady and Elmo. Having 2 people making those runs is going to rack up the goals.
THAT today was what a partnership up front should look like, absolutely SUPERB! Food for thought is that both Gedo & Boyd have been brought in after Christmas, a trick we missed out on last time around, and if we hadn't had their goals today Birmingham would, theoretically, have won the game. Massive respect should go to the way the manager & the owner are working in perfect harmony this season, with amazing results!
Halmosi cost us £2M plus wages, Boyd cost us £200k plus wages, a sure sign that he club's being run properly now, and you know why I'm comparing those two in particular Oh, and ****ing loooooooooooooooooooool at Forest and the failed eye test!
Do they? Halmosi has slicked back overly gelled hair, doubt anyone looks like that after being dragged through a bush backwards. I suspect he merely means long hair.
I had 3-0 with Boyd first scorer, but spent most of half-time working out the best way to lay it off.
While i definitely believe that boy(d) needs a haircut it didnt stop me having a fiver on first goal scorer hehe. Not that i applauded mind.
If I was being mischievous I would say SB's strikeforce has failed and belatedly he has woken up and got Boyd in and his chairman had to get Gedo as Bruce couldn't be trusted after Proschwitz. If only we had a decent manager, we'd have been 10 pts clear now. (There. See how easy it is to rubbish the manager?)
When we brought Gedo in, there was always that hope that he would be able to put the ball in the net like none of our other strikers, I really was full of hope that he'd chip in with some goals, but never at any point did I imagine he'd notch up 5 in 5, that's just frigging brilliant! As for Boyd, he had obvious class, the pleasing thing is how quickly he's fit into the team
