Gary Monk has joined Swansea's coaching staff and is installed as favourite by the bookies to take over from Laudrup.
Hasn't he always been at Swansea? Kinda obvious Laudrup is on his way ouy. He hasn't looked interested for ages.
Funny because my local bookies took a big bet just before christmas on Glen Hoddle to be the next Swansea manager which he thought was strange
Corrected it to be clearer. He has joined their coaching staff...as you say he was already there as a player.
Their squad is just not that good. They're 12th at the moment, which is perhaps two places lower than what the fans could reasonably hope for all things considered. They play some nice stuff for a couple of seasons and that's all it takes for their expectations to become unrealistic and for the manager to take the blame for the inevitable disappointment that results from a lack of investment and quality players. I expect to see them in the Championship within the next couple of years, pining for the Laudrup days.
