can't say i know an awful lot about him. i remember him taking a decent set piece, good delivery etc. decent pedigree but slightly concerned about the lack of games he's played in the past few years. man city fans assure me he is technically sound (as you'd expect of a spaniard these days) so i think he'll do a good job for us. i think we'd all agree tierney needed some competition
My only fear is he and Whittaker will suffer from the before mentioned "Fraser Forster syndrome" that I've renamed "Kyle naughton syndrome" Can't wait to see what both of them can do.
.... and look how that's come back to bite those fans in the ***!!! Especially the 'fans' who only listen to the CG's commentary and then phone 'Canary Call' to moan and belittle our team.
Looks like a decent addition to the squad. Probably better than spending a reported £5m on Izagurre. Maybe we have enough funds left to get a decent RB and DM. If it's going to happen it will have to be quick otherwise it won't be happening.
Weve got 2 weeks still norfolk I see hes declared interest in Mark Bunn, GK from blackburn. I reckon hes looking to loan out either Steer or Rudd for the season.
as i mentioned on a different thread, i heard a while back that rudd would be offski on loan. personally i'd rather not buy in another keeper. i'd prefer to keep steer, loan out rudd and have a 24 hour recall clause or vice versa. hughton might want to loan them both though
To be fair, would be good for there development to have both out playing first team football preferably in the championship and have them both on a 24hour recall. Obviousley only if we bring in another keeper
Loaning Rudd and/or Steer out makes sense to me, it depends how you see it really. From an comercial point of view if Rudd goes out to a Championship club and does well his stock will rise, as will Steer's. It makes them more valuable in the future if we need to sell them or they want to go.
general consensus is that steer is the better of the two - that is my personal feeling too. i think steer will be the one to keep long term. will be interesting to see how ayala does at forest... and more importantly, if he can stay fit!
Hughton on GK positions! "It is an area that I would like to bring in someone and that is not detrimental to the two young keepers we have got here. We will look at the opportunity to get one of them out on loan to get valuable experience.”
I don't disagree with Steer being better, but I do think Rudd could be a future PL Goalkeeper himself, two very good prospects.
Javier Garrido will be an excellent signing. More a victim of circumstances with changes of management coupled with badly timed injuries limited his chances.Hes an attacking full back with a great left foot and he's a useful free kick taker. Norwichs style should suit him and I think he'll become a big favourite
Everyone from Man City have good things to say about this lad, I'm feeling quite excited about this! Good luck with your title debence pplf, we like drama and excitement, but you might want to wrap it up a wee bit sooner this time!
