Thanks Jack, by the way I was at the Spain game last night watching our little merlin score a wonder goal!
If you think Barry is ****e then you need to see City play a game with him, and then play a game without him. He does what he needs to do very well. He's not there to score spectacular goals or play defence splitting passes, we've got Aguero, Silva, Nasri etc. for that, he's in the team to protect the back four and help the team keep possession which he does very effectively.
Barry for England is horrible. I just think he's one of those players who doesn't perform at international level at club level - I think this because I really, really appreciate him at club level. I've noticed at Man City that as long as everyone else does their job around him, Barry spreads play and helps create so many chances. I often see him as one of their furthest back players with Richards, Clichy and then 2 wingers ahead and he does a superb job of switching the play from side to side depending on the circumstance, and getting the ball to feet. He doesnt provide much in the sense of through balls but he provides a LOT of key passes - so many moves start off with a pass from Barry. If Nasri, for examples, sticks to the wing and gets into space, and the right side is congested, Barry has the vision to spread the ball and create an 'open' game in which attacking teams like City thrive. Under rated by other fans, but does his job suitably.
You must smoke more crack than Pete Dohrty, Parker runs about, fouls, hands on knees, fouls, picks up yellow card then puts his hands on his knees. Barry, reads the game, intercepts then plays a pass to a more offensive player. Please stop watchin MOTD.
