boring managing an english team all about the foreign leagues! Won the swiss league with a 27k wage budget, 4000 seater stadium forza bellizona
I just lose the will to like in my secound season when all my good players are stolen and i'm left with a bunch of 30+ who have lost all there talent by christmas
Its easier tbh though i rely heavier on my scouts and assitnat manager everytime im saints manager i massively fail as 'Think i know what's best'
I'm currently managing FK Sloga Despotovac. Can't get any more random then that! Started as an amateur team in the Serbian 3rd division, so far I've won 5 league titles, 4 Serbian Cups and got to a Champions League semi-final. I guess the key is not placing such importance on players you inherit. I normally sign loads of players have a big clear out as soon as I take over. For example when I took over at Saints, the only original players in the starting XI by the end of the first transfer window were Davis, Fonte, Schneiderlin and Lambert.
Who did you bring in?? how did u know who to bring in to get maximum potention out of them and get a squad ready for ccc / prem
Looking at my best XI from my first season, my best signings were probably Katlego Mphela, Michel Platini, Scott Chipperfield, Jordan Spence, Diego Placente, Liam Rosenior and Paul Smith (was wrong about Davis). Signed 20 odd players overall. Added up to £1.6m and they got me promoted. Then I signed a few more players the next season, including Bebe on loan and Emerson Boyce, and that was enough to get me promoted again. I get most of my players via the search filter. Just tick the 'filter out unrealistic targets' box, select the positions you want it to show, sort the players by the appropriate attributes, pick the best ones, make sure you scout them (sign some good scouts btw) and, if the scout thinks they're good, make an offer. Simple as that really. My scouts also found a few players. Then I just kept them motivated by praising them, playing mind games with opposing managers etc etc.
