We need a thread to put this on because every now and then I see mentions of football manager and Fifa on these boards and even though i want to ask more and talk about video games with my fellow board posters but I've got to stick to the threads subject! So this is now the thread for boasting of your Fifa prowess throwing out challenges. For tips on Football manager for all us "Noobs" Im looking at you for tips Spiderman goal king! And once again boasting how much better you are than anyone else. If this thread fails it fails but if you like FIFA Pro evo or fifa manager please do post here. Just to start things off who has been the best signing you've ever made on a game for saints? In terms of stature? Mine is ronaldiniho back in fifa 07 for saints! And Georgios samaras coupled with tim cahill for fifa manager, again for saints while i was in the championship!
i had saints winning prem winning champs league then for some reason chamberlin went to rating 873639 then i had to delete it so started again
I don't think I have done a football manager season with Saints without eventually cheating to get more money to sign some people. On the subject of gaming, I dug out my Nintendo 64 and played fifa 98 which was incredible !!!!
FIFA 98. What a game. However, if you're talking N64, then nothing beats Goldeneye. Best game of all time. (I actually just bought the revised Wii version today, ready to crack open when I finish uni next week. I'm not expecting it to be anywhere near as good as the original though).
Nothing beats Goldeneye with all the men with massive heads !! Nothing the wii does can beat those original games
Attempting to install FIFA 98 and 2000 on Windows 7, but I can't get it to work Any advice on that would be much appreciated. Not a massive fan of the manager mode on the FIFA games, it generally seems a bit too easy and unrealistic. Very addicted to Football Manager though! Anyone else on here taking the unemployment challenge?
Yes me! I'm Derby right now, one season of consolidation and scraping by, then I got to the Prem via Play-Offs, now back in the Champ, going down by 6 points. Rebuilding time!! I have Lallana, Fonte and Chamberlain FWIW.
Enjoy Football Manager in general, but get bored very easily with Saints as I know the players etc. With Port Vale atm.
I got eastleigh promoted to the championship before that took forever, stoneham got increased to 20000 lol
The only way i can ever succeed in football manager is when I know the players I don't see how people can do so well starting at random teams!
I always start as a pretty low team like ebbsfleet at the start of the season and arange a heafty pre-season against championship teams(home) or high foreign teams(away) just to generate more income. So far ive got ebbsfleet into league 2 and have just over 1 million in the bank so i get some crazy transfer budgets for the league im in. Makes the game easier that way but less realistic.
my saints league on fifa was a disaster, i got the taste for success by winning double promotion, but my team got destroyed in the prem. so i decided to start a liverpool league and have got a quality team, treble winners 2 seasons in a row on legendary
Nice, I got to the Prem with Leeds in 2019. Now attempting to win Serie A with Lazio, but looks like I'll be finishing 2nd for the third time in a row. Still yet to win a top division and in 2024 now. Career so far: Bromley, Crewe, Preston, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Lazio. Also had spells at DR Congo, Switzerland and Denmark. 3 league wins, 1 FA Trophy and 1 playoff win. This game will ruin my life, but my virtual life is pretty awesome.
Liked manager mode on fifa 10 got saints all the way to the prem in 2 seasons and then in the 3rd won the quad. The Europa league, the fa cup, the carling cup and the title. On world class though, find legendary to hard and I like to win too much. On fifa 11 just stuck to ultimate team which is also brilliant!
Don't want to sound like a party pooper, but aren't there specialist forums to discuss PC gaming? This place should be about discussing REAL football.
Well you do. Go on a different thread if you don't like this one. There are plenty about real football. You could even make your own
