I know there has already been a thread cba to find it, got work soon, but i know were kicking off saying hes ****. But alot of united fans (going from comments on skysports news) are backing him, saying they should of loaned him out to get him game time or "I just HOPE to God Sir Alex is clever enough to have put a buy back clause in the deal so we can bring him back to untied, cause personally I think he just needed time on the pitch" (Quoted from Sky News comments)

Just we need to wait and see how he performs, guessing pardew is really chummy with sir alex which can be a good or a bad thing, we dont know yet but to wait and see the season unfold. Im full of positivity now, dying for the new season to start!

    Come on the toon!

When I've seen him he's looked pretty average but has shown flashes of great play, he can only get better <ok>

Just hope he doesnt turn out to be a Nile Ranger, he does show promise. You can old get better if your playing 1st team football. Which imo thats where Xisco lies. Yes hes been ****e but we need to play him, were paying his wages why not give him game time.

He has talent, never been given a chance, if we bring the best out of him we have a beast of a player. Simple as that.

Time will tell with Obertan. He hasn't shown anything at Man U, but as people say how can you actually impress when all you get is 5 or 10 minutes from the bench? He is a product of the Clairefontaine Academy and player of the tournament in the 2009 Toulon tournament for the French U21's (thank to Wiki for the info) so there's something there.

Someone mentioned on here on one of the other Obertan thread about Antoine Sibierski. Everyone thought he was ****e before he'd kicked a ball. Even Tiote's signing wasn't held in high regards and seen as a nothing signing this time last summer.

All I'm saying is, he's got the attributes to be a decent winger, give the lad a chance!

    Its as simple as this.

Manu have had ronaldo, nani, rooney, giggs, beckham.... on and on and on... so hes not as good as these guys.

BUT..... Compare it to what we have had in the last couple of years hes a better player than most.

Hes young and has potential, I honestly think he will be a great signing for us and hes been trained with the best players in the world. His attitude must be right as you never heard of him complaining and before going to United he was hailed as the next Ronaldo (an ugly one at that).

I say we give him the great Geordie support and give him a chance and he will be a good signing.

Its even simpler than that. Man Utd have Nani, Valencia, Park, Giggs, Ashley Young and are talking about Sneijder, I'm not particularly disgusted if he's not quite good enough to get in amongst that lot.

Was he not labelled the "Next Thierry Henry"? Henry couldn't get a look in at Juve and got a move to Arsenal to ignite his career and look how that turned out! I'm just clutching at straws i know, actually come to think of it, I think he was labelled the "Next Colin Henry" not sure.

Just remember the **** on our board last season, ****ing Welbeck we all said, ****ing Welbeck. What we would give to have him now.

The time to boo Obertan is after a few games if he is crap, not before.

I think he is going to prove alot of people wrong and do amazing for us. He was at clairefontaine so he can't be rubbish, now all we need is Sturridge!

I just think that if Ferguson saw even a glimmer of talent in the lad then he can't be that bad. Utd isn't an easy team to get into or shine in when you get the odd opportunity. Forlan was pants at utd but he's hardly a bad player. Let's give the lad a chance and see what he can do
