    Ah yeah good point I remember that. Still, I think its possible especially with Newcastle these days to note a difference between club and team. He's always passionate playing in the shirt and is great with the crowd. Being a local lad helps too - we're talking captain material here not the nicest guy in the world.

    I guess I'm just old fashioned - I'd want a captain that cares more about playing for a club he loves than an extra £20k a week. Maybe that sort of player doesn't exist anymore though, sadly.

    Yeah that's the reality of it unfortunately. I agree with you entirely though; ideally we'd have a player who'd take anything to play for us, keep his head, concentrate on the pitch and stir up pride amongst the players.

    In all honesty guys I believe that Saylor does love playing for the club and most certainly does care about the club!

    I'd be happy for him to take the armband after Colo if he's still playing for us!
