A pal and I were comparing the current team with those of the past and that (somehow) got us on to achievements. Apart from a few obvious (real) ones we reckoned Fulham were the first -

    * to play on a Sunday (okay so were Milwall)
    * to play a televised match under floodlights (not sure, but possibly Milwall again and not bad considering we were the last to get floodlights)
    * the first to sign a non European player (an Egyptian guy in 1929)
    * to score the only goal in a cup final and lose (an own goal in the Anglo Scottish v Middlesborough)
    * with the fastest scoring hat trick (Graham Leggat 3 in 3 minutes)
    * with quickest scoring debut (George Best in 20 secs.)

We were past the first pint(s) by this time you understand and it was just for fun. Any more?

In the 1980s, we became the first club to have a chairman who could remove pickled onions from a jar using only his chin.
