can safely say wolves are the worse team seen at the cottage this season, we did our bit for ourselves, and helped the rangers on the way, glad everyone on here wanted us to win today. i predicted a 2-1, 2-0 win, with the russian and dempsey to score(got the goal scorers right). both the w teams look relegated, its all about who gets the other place, and it to tight to call with confidence, i will say blackburn, let to many goals in, looking forward to going to villa park next week, will be keeping a close eye on the rangers game. could spurs be now in free fall and could rangers catch them at the right time?
Fulham did us a big favour today. I think we have more chance of scoring goals than any of the other 4 and that could keep us up....just!!
agree just need to tighten up at the back and get a clean sheet, it will lift confidence, maybe a 1-0 nil win up at the reebok
No chance with Kenny in goal, every shot not straight at him goes in, we will have to score several to win.
You keep Cisse fit and playing and I think you'll stay up. He's a very good player and easily the best striker of the teams at the bottom. Certainly doesn't seem like Wolves will stay up based on today's performance, a great example yet again of how promoting the no. 2 very rarely works (see the case files: L Reed (Charlton) & S Lee (Bolton)).
Could come down to goal difference and results like this do us a world of good. Those 'lucky' single goal losses away to Arsenal, Liverpool could be the dfference in the end.
i suppose you mean me, i like this board, and i never come on here to wind up rangers fans, but came on here originally cos i have put alot of money on rangers to stay up, i like rangers, hope to play you next season, dont like M.h, addicted to your board
I genuinely thought 5-0 flattered Wolves. It was as one sided a game I have seen since United beat Arsenal 8-2 at Old Trafford. What I think about QPR was what I used to think about Wolves. QPR tend to keep games tight and even when not playing well at least remain competitive. When you do that you've always got half a chance. I don't care what any manager says there are no positives you can take from a 5-0 defeat, but there are a lot you can take from 2-1 or even 3-1 loss. Blackburn can score goals so they should be alright (even if they do concede at an alarming rate). Wigan and Bolton are gone IMO, it's out of Blackburn, QPR and Wolves. QPR have by far the harder run in, but on paper IMO they are vastly better (individually) than Wolves and Blackburn. I am certain QPR will take a huge scalp at LR this season, whether it be Arsenal, Tottenham or Liverpool. My money is on one of the London clubs.
Had forgotten them... Was thinking about the trivia question that would surely follow if we drop - "who was the only team that QPR did the double over in season 2011/12?" That would replace the other question - "Who was the only team that Swindon did the double over in their relegation season in 1993/94?"
I think you are more likely to take a scalp at home than away to United, Chelsea or City, as strange as that sounds. Who knows though. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain in those kind of games
not me mate...on Detox at the moment awaiting saturdays demolition of Bolton, but as to my other post..we could make it 1-1 if you like?
