Ristac that sounds like a well run club, with a great plan ....... We've not had that for years and especially under Bates and Co. Swansea, Southampton and Norwich spring to mind as to how it should be done, whilst we've been left bleeding out for the last 3 seasons. Roll on new owners and hello to a new period of investment, good management, clarity and purpose. And yes I would also accept another season in the championship knowing that we have a solid platform for once. Although I have to say that the longer we wallow down here, the more difficult it becomes to get out, especially with all the new cash going to the prem teams and stupid parachute payments.
Got a feeling we might find out who it is today then announcement on Monday. Not based on any source, just a feeling based on how things have panned out so far. Seems it is Middle East, trying not to get too excited but it's hard.
Also the longer we stay here more of our better players will leave. Snoddy,Mccormack,Becchio and maybe even Pearce won't wanna stick around waiting when they were told we are going for it. If we stick in the championship this season, I'm sure we will have to rebuild the squad pretty much again. If we have a decent amount of money though I'm confident in us going up this season
The most frustrating thing about Bates is he would have had the spend 2 maybe 3 million getting to the premiership that first season back, all the money he's haemorrhaged out of the club would have got us to mid-table prem
Money does not equal success but it helps... Investing 3 million might not have got us promoted but selling Gradel & Howson certainly helped to stop it...!
Clivetime thought I was Phil Hay for a while! ... ... ... And I'm all frisked out after that Bates/Jepsen story the other day.
