He'd probably want a long contract on high wages. Doesn't fit the type of player that we would normally go for (young, cheaper wages, sell on value etc). Rumours are Madrid & City want him so don't think we'd be able to compete.
Just found this article, looks very positive on Yesil http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2868...next-drogba-in-leverkusen?source=breakingnews Really looking forward to seeing this guy play
Same, hope he can live up to hit potential. Although I'm abit concerned if this clause about Leverkusen being able to buy him back for the same amount as we paid for him is true. Seems like a ridiculous clause to put into the agreement?
In the event that Borini and Suarez are injured at the same time I'd be happy to see Morgan and this German kid given a chance.
Drogba would be awesome - Put all the Dempsey money £4 mill + 3 years wages and give it all to him for 1 year's work.
I think the clause is if LFC wish to sell, then Leverkusen have first refusal at that price. Ball is in our court
That sounds better, although someone posted a link yesterday I believe, where it said they have an option to buy him back for the same at any time (although obviously if he doesn't want to leave then it makes no difference).
Is is true about Didier being released? Think he'd be an amazing buy but not sure if he'd be worth the wages. Maybe if he took a wage cut he could play for us otherwise I can't see us spending around £150k a week on a backup striker.
I'm not sure he cares about wags as much as every one think. He is a very charitable guy. When he did as ads with pepsi he used all the money to build a school in the Ivory Coast. He also has a good sense of humour. I think him and Suarez could be awesome in a front three together. With the third person adding pace and width (Sterling, Assaidi, Downing). He'd sell shirts to. Especially abroad. I wouldnt just have him as back up. -------------Lucas------------- -----Gerrard--------Allen------- --Suarez--------------Sterling-- -------------Drogba------------ -------------Makalale------------ ----Lampard----------Essien------ --Robben-----------------Duff---- --------------Drogba------------- Drogba has aged very well. He can still do a job. Look at him in the cup finals last season.
some very good articles on the new kid from Germany and we need one more experienced striker to come in. anyone know apart from my glowing any good strikers available outside the transfer window?
